Who we are

View On Your Behalf is a sole trader property viewing service operated by Peter Kirby, based on the Isle of Wight, UK. We can be contacted at hello@viewonyourbehalf.co.uk.

We are the data controller for the personal information you provide to us through this website.

What data we collect

When you use our service, we may collect the following personal information:

• Your name and email address (when you create an account)
• Your postcode (used as your initial password)
• Your phone number (if provided)
• Property addresses and estate agent details you submit with viewing requests
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)

Why we collect it

We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your account
• Arrange and carry out property viewings on your behalf
• Communicate with you about your bookings
• Process payments securely
• Deliver your viewing report

Our lawful basis for processing is the performance of a contract (to provide the viewing service you have requested) and, where applicable, our legitimate interests in running the business.

Who we share it with

We share your data only as necessary to provide the service:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account data securely
• Stripe — our payment processor, which handles card transactions
• Resend — our email provider, which sends transactional emails to you
• Trusted viewers — where a viewing is carried out by a trusted viewer on our behalf, they will be given the property address and relevant viewing notes only

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We retain your account data and viewing history for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial reasons (for example, payment records, which we retain for 7 years as required by HMRC).

Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies required to keep you logged in to your account. We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
